"Despite the rainclouds hovering during our visit, our stay at the Holly Tree Hotel was a peaceful retreat. Nestled between dramatic mountains and the calming waters of Loch Linnhe, the location offers a sense of quiet seclusion that’s hard to come by.
The inclement weather kept us indoors more than planned, but somehow that only deepened the stillness and made the setting feel more intimate. The hotel itself maintains a gentle charm—warm, inviting, and perfectly suited for recharging away from...

"This was a nice comfortable hotel in a pretty location. Good proximity to the Glencoe area and many hiking trails. Food in the restaurant was good but the manager (Liam) seemed to be having a bad night and snapped at several customers."

"The hospitality was wonderful and the manager even played chess with our son. He was very engaging and friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and cozily decorated. Our son was fine on the pull out couch. "

"The hotel is getting some exterior work done at the moment.
The staff were really nice.
The food was very good but a bit over priced I thought.
The views were great too.
The room was clean but the toilet was very cramped to use the loo next to the shower but you can only work with the space you have."

"The staff at the hotel were helpful but we had several challenges during our stay that were a bit out of their hands (power outage, etc). Bright spots were the hot tub access outside and staff help. Downsides was that the family bunk room we booked was surprisingly tiny (like we had to take all but one suitcase back to the car because it was too small to even have them there). Pictures didn’t convey this and Staff said the Hotel is due for a refresh, so maybe in a year it will be "

"Amazing room with a 360° view in front of a loch. Fully equipped with high-end features and a lot of charm. Really cosy for a couple. Private terrace to enjoy the sunset.
Platters for the dinner and cooked breakfast are also perfect, Karen is really a good chef !"

"We had the family room, situated at the front overlooking the bay of Connel and the highland hills in the background. We had summer weather, what helpt making it fantastic. It's a fine B&B, caring owners of an old building that's well maintained. The frond road can be busy during the day, we had all 3 windows open all night and it was quiet, we had a good sleep. The bathroom is amazing. If we drive up to Scotland we will again considering stopping over maybe for an extra night to visit also the...

"We enjoyed staying at the Garrison. The staff were outstanding and breakfast was delicious and free! They had free snacks in the room and in the evening at the bar. I highly recommend. The only neg was the housekeeping put the clean towels they were going to put into the rooms onto the floor outside of the rooms! But did I die? Nope! I dried off on one of the towels and kept on traveling! I would definitely stay here again. Walk to dinner , overlooking the waterfront, superb friendly staff and free snacks. "

"Great Stay. We have been before to this Hotel so we new what to expect. Staff Great and Polite. Breakfast very good,
Its an old Victorian Type Hotel but you get what you pay for,Yes there could be a few improvements here and there with the Structure but what suits some dosen't suit others. The price was right so there you go. Would we go again yes. "
"Lovely hotel with easy parking, great food (try the tart for dessert!), beautiful views in the lounge and restuaraunt, and a delightful pool and spa area. Note that you do need reservations for the outdoor hot tub (we were late arrivals and early departure, and did not check on the process for that).
Would happily return and hopefully spend more than one night next time."
