"We recently stayed at the Garstang Golf and Country Hotel and had the pleasure of booking the Wyre Suite – and what a treat it was! The room was spacious, well-appointed, and truly majestic, with its own private terrace offering beautiful views across the golf course. It was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings. The bathroom was a real highlight – absolutely vast, with a luxurious walk-in shower featuring a rainfall head and an impressively large handcrafted stone bath that added a real touch of indulgence. While the food menu leaned towards the generic side, the service was prompt, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely keen to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was self-serve, which worked perfectly for early tee times, offering a range of options that suited golfers and non-golfers alike. Tip: Book directly with the hotel for the best rates – they’ll do their best to match prices, and it’s worth it for the personal service. A great escape with serene views, excellent facilities, and a warm welcome – we'll definitely be back"

"This was our first stay at an Ibis hotel, I didn't expect much for the price, we did just want cheap & cheerful/a bed for the night however the room was SO basic and quite dated. The TV worked on the first few channels but anything else took so long to load, we gave up. Neither of the two bedside lights worked, the lamp on the worktop also didn't work (even checked it was turned on at the plug). The worktop wasn't totally clean either, I presume they were coffee marks, but not stains, they were sticky & did wipe off so just hadn't been cleaned very well. There was also water on the bathroom floor that looked like it had spread from the toilet but no idea. It had dried by morning. Staff very friendly and helpful and we had a quiet & comfy night sleep but would be unlikely to choose an Ibis again unless just for a single night sleep/not needing to spend much time there. The service was good, just dated & beyond basic rooms. "

"We had an accessible room for myself and the wife and an adjoining bedroom for the father-in-law while we had a few days visiting family the rooms as always were clean and well presented tea and coffee facilities beds were lovely and comfy the only down side is the accessible rooms only come with double beds would of been better if twin beds as the wife has issues and disturbs me while sleeping so don’t get a refreshing sleep "

"A return visit to this hotel, this time in a bigger room. Impressed with it the 1st time, hence the return visit and will no doubt be returning again in the future. Easy access to the building and room with codes supplied via email. The room was lovely and clean and the windows were open when we got there, which was a great help as it was a warm day, I would like to see a better cooling fan provided in the room though. All-in-all another great night in Preston at Winckley Square, thank you."

"We had a great stay overall. Parking was a bit tricky to find initially (go past the pub then turn left) but reception told me where to park. Comfortable room with all amenities provided to cook. Wasn’t absolutely spotless but it was clean enough. Friendly and helpful staff and the phone passes were a faff but it worked out well in the end. Option to get cards so that’s nice. Overall very comfy and would happily stay again, especially if it was cheaper."

"The property is on the outskirts of Preston City Centre with easy access off and to the motorway. The family room was well laid out, comfortable and clean. There was no cooling in the room (Summer) and a medium thick duvet which is not conducive to a great nights sleep but overall, a good stay.the only negative comment. Iwe had a good overnight stay."

"The hotel was easy to find and close to the station. It’s a quiet building and the room was a decent size. Coffee and tea were provided along with a kettle. However we were only provided with one towel despite booking for 2 people. No hand soap provided and the toilet seat was broken. The carpet also felt sticky and unclean, unsure whether it’s the material or just wasn’t cleaned. It’s good for a short term stay. "

"Another lovely stay at St Andrew's hotel. Staff are very friendly, instructions for log in clear and easy to follow. Breakfast is great with lots of choice. We visit friends in the area from time to time and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Room is always spotless and comfortable."

"A steady clean hotel away from the hustle of the city centre. The staff were super friendly, special mention to Kiran on the check in desk. The room was tight for space but as it was only a one night stay that was perfectly acceptable. The bed was really comfy. The only thing I would knock it for would be there was a lot of dust around the TV area. The gym area looked neat and tidy, I didn’t use them as I’d used a gym in the city prior to arrival. The restaurant area had a nice feel to it even though there were few guests. I ordered a steak burger with chips and a drink, came to approx £23 which was reasonable. Breakfast was everything you’d expect from a buffet style breakfast. A selection of hot and cold food and drinks including continental style. Overall a comfortable stay and I would stay again. "

"Stayed there a few times over the years . Good location for an over night stop etc. Clean and tidy over all. Friendly staff. It went down a bit a few years ago but seems to have been spruced up recently. Change of ownership? (The tv in the room had seen better days with occasional unresponsive controls. Wi-fi did not load up.)"

"So appreciated the tea/coffee and cereal, after a longhaul flight. Shower cubicle esp door joints needs a good scrub with a bristle brush, will come up gleaming. Otherwise superb place, bed super comfy, linens & towels spotless."
