"this hotel is in the very center of the lively city. The location is perfect to be able to walk to all of the beautiful cathedrals, theaters and museums. It is also right on the main piazza where the mariachi bands entertain at the many restaurants. Definitely best to have a room not facing the square, as the bands and parties continue late into the night on the weekend."

Guanajuato was a wonderful surprise town. We were lucky to be there for the Cervantes festival. Lots of wonderful cultural happenings during the festival. Only wish we knew about this town earlier.

Would not recommend the tours. They can be a bit silly. Be sure to research your guide well in advance and hire someone serious. If you are just going for dining and shopping then it's fabulous.

Very colorful, many options for food and entertainment. So much history, lots to do and see.
"Place is right across the basilica de Guanajuato and short walk to many restaurants, bars and stores, the front desk lady was very helpful with luggage and recommendations. The place itself was very clean, quiet and comfortable, had a simple but pleasant continental breakfast. Highly recommended. "
"Muy bueno en general. La persona que nos recibió fue muy amable desde el principio, nos dió información sobre la zona y el hospedaje. La habitación era cómoda, tanto las camas como otros elementos. Es un lugar muy cómodo para descansar y el agua sale calientita y en gran cantidad. "
"This hotel is centrally located in the heart of Guanajuato city. Most of the tourist attractions were within walking distance and if they weren’t, it was easy to get a taxi. We really enjoyed the architectural charm of the entire establishment. They offer a continental/Mexican breakfast from 8 to 12 which was great to have as an option.
A tip that would have been good to know prior to arrival is that you can pull up to the hotel if you see a gap in the metal/chain fence outside and upon arrival will be given options for parking. Unfortunately, we did not know that, and when I called the hotel that was not communicated to me properly so we parked our car at a parking garage and then got a taxi so it was a bit inconvenient. With that information, I feel like it would’ve been a flawless stay. Overall, I would highly recommend."
"Casa Kloster is within a unique palace. It has been restored with care and amazing details. The light green limestone which is on the doors, floors and some walls, plus the amazing decor makes this place beautiful and unique. Very clean and comfortable bedrooms. High quality is everywhere. Our only issue was that the hot tub in the pool area is not warm enough. We asked if they could heated more but the reception said that was the maximum, which feels like it's about 95 F. We also noticed some electrical concerns, like GFCI outlets very near water (bathroom sinks) and the hot tub, which if they are wired correctly should be no problem, but still, feels like a hazard. Also, the electric sub panel near the hot tub was unlocked, and 3 feet away. The pool and hot tub felt they also had a high chlorine content. The location was fantastic and the service also great. They helped us arrange a city tour which was great. However, their restaurant recommendations were very bad. Overall a great place to stay, safe, clean and beautiful. "
"Nice small hotel in a convenient location. Room was clean and comfortable. Good wifi. Was hot water but didn’t last for long. Had to rush in shower. Staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast at restaurant was good as was the service. Would stay here again. "
"Great stay beautiful views and pool was great. Upon arriving there was someone to let us know where to park. Everyone was very nice the bar made us some delicious drinks. 10/10"
