"When we arrived we received heartfelt apologies that the heating was not working (and autumn chill had just set in). There was however an open fire in the dining room. The meal was acceptable, but not outstanding. I don't know if we were suffering from an end of season situation.

It was amazing , the bed was so comfortable and the ambiance of the house was delightful, our host was excellent and went out of his way to look after us , giving us an early breakfast so we could get an early train . "Grand house with character in the nice part of town only a 7 min walk to the cathedral. Easy on-street parking. House has a slightly quirky museum-esque feel to it with lots of statues and busts dotted around the place. Room was spacious, bed was huge, shower was excellent and everything felt very clean. Breakfast was simple (cereal, bread, fabulous croissants and fruit) but substantial. Would recommend. "

"Very decayed on the outside No air cond and no aeration ( a small grid which is a joke)which means that in summer you have to open the window And it’s very noisy outside , the hotel is badly situated near a quite busy road . I had a Small bedroom which was really small that’s ok but the problem was the bed : too short ( and I’m only 173 cm!) and the pillows were bad + a very hard mattress. On the sunny side it’s clean enough and the staff are incredibly nice and they really try their best but...

We booked a junior suite - the room is spacious, the grounds are well kept and quiet, but with signs of life and family friendly. The views are incredible too. I would highly recommend it. Its not far from town so you can easily dine out. My only fuss was about the 16 Euro breakfast for nothing fancy - we didn't choose the option so we went into town. None the less, 5/5"
