"The Appenzell Inn was a nice surprise for us on our vacation. It has lots of ammenities, close access to everything in Estes Park, lovely surroundings (including flower boxes everywhere), a decent breakfast, and the special touch of offering the makings for s'mores at their multiple outdoor fire pits on the property. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and the staff was available and attentive when needed. The look of a Swiss Chalet was charming. The only criticism we had is that the parking is tricky; if you are out past a certain time, it's very difficult to find a parking spot anywhere near your room. But this was a minor inconvenience for us. We really enjoyed our stay at the Appenzell Inn, and would stay there again."

"This hotel was very good. They have pool, my teenagers were happy about the gym. Me and my husband loved getting cocktails 🍸 from the bar and sit outside for a nice evening drink. The room was very clean and bedding was comfortable. Definitely recommend it. "

"This lodge, built in 1920, has a beautiful main lodge with a restaurant, bar, and gift shop. It is grand like a mountain lodge should be. There are several cabins to stay in, and they come in all sizes. It looks over two beautiful lakes. The staff is wonderful. They were all polite and professional. I look forward to staying there again."

"Our front desk check-in attendant was amazing. Unfortunately, we did end up needing maintenance for a "small" issue and they were nothing short of fantastic. So nice and accommodating. We made last minute reservations and were granted an adjoining room to meet our family needs. The accommodations were great...from pool to game room to lounge area. Would highly recommend...especially if wanting to stay in a non-chain type hotel. "

"Loved the decor, indoor/outdoor open space, check-in at the bar, tasty food, walk to campus, stunning Mountain View’s and super friendly staff. Parking is the only downside if you don’t choose the $40 nightly valet. "

"Wow!!! I will be back here. The photos are definitely not doing justice. There are over 3 pools, nice surprise, a ton of kids activities including multiple playground areas, several fire pits (for hanging out s'mores), giant connect four, corn hole, "darts", etc. Extremely pleased because I am on a mommy and me getaway for a night with my seven year old. I could go on and on. Outstanding service and highly recommend. "

"THE BEST view of Longs Peak, and Twin Sisters right on the other side. Historical lodge with trails all around it- there was even a humble breakfast in the lobby. Peaceful and so close to estes park. Recommend."

"As others have said, my room also smelled bad. I went to Walgreens and bought Ozium. That smell was gone for the rest of my stay. "

"This property is a mixed bag. First, it was VERY clean and the guys at the front desk were pleasant. The location at the top end of the main drag puts it in easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. This is a very basic room, painted off white, no decorations except the shower curtain and a couple of mirrors. The only furniture in the room, other than the beds had three drawers, one of which was falling out of the unit, and room for a smaller TV (the TV in the room was too big to fit inside, so it sat on top). There is no closet, but rather a small shelf set in the corner with a clothes rod, which would have been sufficient for our three night stay, but one of the top anchors had pulled out of the wall, leaving the shelf hanging precariously. Finally, we found the mattresses too soft and aged. My smaller wife found herself pulled into my gravity well, and we both had to stretch out kinks each morning. Assuming the damage in this room is a one-off, I would stay here again at the right price, but I don't know that I'd pay $200 per night again."

"The stay was wonderful and the price was well worth it. We enjoyed the late night swims and the nearby cuisine. The only drawback were that breakfast items such as meat and eggs went fast and that it took almost 45 minutes for a re-stock, so breakfast wasnt enjoyable "

"Besides being clean, it had a great view of the mountains. They offered a decent breakfast in the morning, popcorn in the afternoon and smores in the evening. It was close to both RMNP entrances and downtown Estes Park!"
