"What an amazing place! Villas are in a perfect location and very clean. Beach is well maintained even though sargassum was present during our stay, they worked very hard to keep it clean. Food and drinks were top notch. Easy bike ride to village or shuttle service each hour after certain times."

"My family and I enjoyed our short stay in the Namaste apartment at the Belizean Nirvana in Placencia. The apartment was larger than expected with a beautiful veranda overlooking the ocean. When I was researching accommodations, the Belizean Nirvana was one of the few that offered breakfast, which was a plus given that my husband and I traveled with our teen and tween. The hotel was central to all of the restaurants and shops on the island. Barbara and Evan were wonderful and available if we needed them."

"The best of both worlds! This property is stunning, and it really offered the best of both worlds. We were able to experience resort-style amenities and service, while enjoying the space of an AirBnB. Our suite was huge and gave us ample room to enjoy ourselves. It was nice to be able to cook some meals in the suite, although they could definitely stand to upgrade their kitchenware. The pool is huge, and we really enjoyed the swim-up bar. The restaurant sits right on the water, and we were really impressed with the food there. The service is top-notch from the bar to the housekeeping staff. *A note about the location: Placencia is a lot bigger than I realized. This property is in an area that is mostly just resorts and a handful of restaurants. A little further South is Maya Beach, which is quite nice. If you want to actually visit Placencia Village, it's a good 20-30 minute drive. So this is the perfect location for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. But if you want to be in the heart of Placencia, go further South. "

"I had a delightful experience at Ocean Breeze! We were greeted with a lovely sign out front and the AC was running in our room. The front desk associate was gracious in accommodating our request for an early check in when our travel plans unexpectedly changed. The room was meticulously, cleaned and appointed well with coffee cups and plates. Our room looked out toward the ocean and the pool was directly below. We also had great drinks and good service at the bar. I would certainly return and highly recommend this resort."

"This place is new for this season and wow did they hit it out the park. The staff and owners were just the best I’ve ever came across travelling. The food at breaky was top notch. The bar on the beach with Elvis as the bartender couldn’t have been any better. Honestly this place is the go to spot in Maya beach for comfort, relaxation, home feeling and just wish I could think of soo many other words to describe how this place made me feel. I can’t wait to go back. The access to the beach was stellar. Must stay if your in Belize. Little pricey to be honest but that was the only drawback and even then with all the other things involved maybe the price is where it should be. "

"We loved our stay in the Turtle room! We had a last minute change in our itinerary and needed a place for only one night... But we wished we had more time at this spot! The owners are very kind and responsive. The room was very comfy and cozy. I appreciated all the shelving in the rooms and bathroom. AC worked great. And the screened in porch was really wonderful to hang out on. It's also in a great location for wandering around the village. "

"The property is fantastic and set up well. The host are great and a lot of fun to hang out with. The pool is a nice touch. They have a nice lounge with a TV and a nice kitchen area. They have free bikes. They will do laundry for you on site. The bathrooms are very clean and offer some privacy even though they are not located in the rooms. They have a honesty bar where you can grab a beer or a Coke and drop a few bucks in a cup next to the fridge. They had some nice things in the room like toothbrushes, a small tube of toothpaste, shampoo, and a comb. I didn’t realize that the room didn’t have air conditioning, but they lhad a nice ceiling fan and an oscillating stick fan in the room so it wasn’t bad. The only thing I would suggest is better mattresses. I could feel the springs poking through the mattress in our room. It’s new. It’s just very basic and not very comfortable. All in all we had a fantastic time at Royal Rat and we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. "

"What an amazing property. This little island (about 1 acre in size) is absolutely beautiful. The boat ride from Placencia was definitely farther than a 10 minutes....more like a 40-45 minute trip as the island is approx 20 miles in the middle of the ocean. The staff is one of a kind..... Tito and Albert were our bartenders. Tito was there our entire trip (6 days); Albert arrived the day before we left. Anything we wanted these guys were on it. Food, drinks, someone to talk to, etc. We had 2 amazingly chefs, Sam and Hilly, cooked some of the best food we've had on an all inclusive vacation in a LONG time. Truly amazing food. The manager and the rest of the crew stayed busy ensuring the island stayed clean and well maintained each amd every day. A great place for some serious R & R. Highly recommend King Lewey Island to anyone who is up for the adventure. "
