We loved the food at the Bistro and the staff there was just wonderful as well, joking with us and smiling while they were working. "This is an older hotel, but beautifully maintained and immaculately clean. The location is perfect, right on the Avalon waterfront and an easy walk to all that Avalon has to offer. Our room had a bit of an ocean view, which was greatly appreciated. The staff is friendly and helpful, but there were a couple of things. First, maid service is only by request, which we did not know, so the room went uncleaned for a couple days. Second, the included continental breakfast offers the barest minimum of choices and could easily be improved with a bit more variety. "

Even the drivers were really helpful and friendly. 15 minute walk to the plaza area, which is like your downtown area. Easier to walk to the plaza than it is to come back due to it being up hill!
