Just didn't get a good "clean at home" kind of feeling - the vent when you enter good use a good wipe down. It's the first thing you see! "

"Lance is very responsive to your needs. There is a large refrigerator and microwave. You will need to bring your own microwavable items for cooking. He did bring us some paper plates and plasticware. Better to bring your own. Very quiet unless you have neighbors who bang their screen door. That was comfortable. Bear floor so we brought our own rugs Culligan water dispenser. Nice outdoor seating. "

Was able to get a good meal at the village Inn, which I could walk to and in the morning I got up and rode my bike to empire Bluff Trail Before heading up to sleeping Barry to ride the Heritage Trail"
"Have stayed at the Frankfort Hotel 3 times! It’s charming! Every room is decorated differently, as seen on the website. Staff are friendly & attentive. Parking is on-site & free. Room & common areas are very clean & quiet. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel to the Lake & beach in one direction & to the shops & restaurants on Main Street in the other direction. Can walk all the way up & down the busiest section of Main Street without moving your car. It’s a lovely place to stay!"
"The location was great. It was just a few minutes away from sleeping bear dunes. It was halfway between Glen Arbor and Empire. Many good restaurants choices, cute little shopping district. We borrowed the kayaks a couple times, played volleyball and horseshoes. Couldn't really fish on little Glen, but it was still fabulous. We ate at Cherry public house, which was a great atmosphere and great food. We also tried bear paw pizza which was also delicious. Mosquitoes were out in full force, so that was unfortunate. The dunes are definitely worth experiencing."

"Kevin and Tonya have created a very special motel. Kevin is on the local tourism board and knowledgeable about the area. Both are nice and welcoming. The rooms are clean and don't break the bank. Convenient location. They offer locally-roasted coffee in the morning or a nice selection of tea and have a nice partnership with a local restaurant nearby for breakfast (large portions and delicious). I stayed here on a work trip, but would come back with family. This place reminded me of why family run motels were so popular for a time.. and would be again if they were all run like this. I definitely encourage you to support this great locally-owned business. "
