Learn more about Albany

Albany is well-known for its sports and festivals, featuring attractions such as Timber-Linn Memorial Park and Linn County Expo Center.

Who puts a Victorian style kiosk at an interstate freeway rest stop? Well, apparently, the good people of Albany, Oregon. As the sign says, this cute little structure serves to commemorate the more than seven hundred historical homes and buildings in downtown Albany.

I love this little thing, but get a load of the trailer hitch under the front window. I'll have to start looking for those in some of the older districts in the area. I did not realize that they were an architectural feature.
