"We stayed here during our trip to Redwood National Park. It was a nice drive to the trails 35-40 min. The inn is located a residential area and felt very safe. We loved Fortuna. Everything is close by with easy access. The layout of the town was easy to figure out and find our way around. Three freeway exits for a little town! The brochures for the area, including hikes and driving tours were great.

"The hotel was very walkable to downtown, but with all the homeless around, I don't think I felt very safe. Not the hotel's fault.
The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hotel was really cool looking, being historic and all, but it really smelled old. Not terrible, just like you old grandmother's basement.
The breakfast didn't have a lot of options. But there are a lot of restaurants nearby.
There is an outdoor pool, but it was too cold for that.
I would probably stay here again. If we were in town."

"Gorgeous hotel!!! The front desk staff were excellent and the lobby area was beautiful, the restaurant was closed but the “small bites” offered by the front desk were delicious and very reasonably priced. The room was very clean.
The only thing was that *every* flat surface in the rooms is wood….the nightstands, tables, console under the TV, floor…and sometimes drinks and ice buckets sweat, and there are no coasters or anything so there’s nowhere to set drinks that you don’t worry about damaging the beautiful wood accents. But other than that minor thing, highly recommend and would absolutely stay there again. "
