My husband went down after we checked in to get bedding for the little sofa bed & he met the owner, who was also very nice. The room was clean and everything was as it should be. "Effingham is my typical stop when I travel for work. I used to stay at the LaQuinta across the street from this hotel, but it has really become ragged and worn down over the last two years. This hotel is much newer and their housekeeping team is doing a great job. Every time I stay here, my room is very clean, as is the lobby, parking lot, etc. The little details matter and they are on top of things. I appreciate that and will continue to be a regular customer."

"The property was nice and clean and in a good location.Staff was helpful and friendly. We are traveling with our 2 small dogs and staying in a pet friendly room and were pleasantly surprised how clean and fresh the room smelled. Love the plank flooring!

"I arrived about an hour before check in time hoping to check in early. There was nobody manning the front desk. I waited about 5 minutes, still nobody so I left and came back. When I did finally check in, the staff was very nice and accommodating and check in was easy. Anytime during my stay that I encountered staff they were all awesome.
The rooms looked like they were newly remodeled and were very nice. Everything worked and was very clean. The bed was comfortable. There was an ice machine and vending close by.
I was assigned a room close to a stairway. Since the rooms open to the outside, the first night was a bit noisy with people running up and down the stairs. The second night was not bad.
The pool was closed, kinda sad since it was 88 degrees and a major heat wave was starting. The grounds around the pool area could use some attention or an upgrade.
All in all, it was a good stay and I would stay there again. "
