"The room had SUN hitting the window all day! The room was 50 degrees and took 4 hours to get to 35 degrees! The room needs to be shaded from the Sun or run A/C 4 hours before guest arrive! We stayed here 4 times before but never on the HOT SUNNY SIDE of the Hotel! The Pool is Nice and the food brings us back each year! I will ask for a room on the shade side next time! I didn’t know! lol "
"If you have time (we had a month) and you are feeling jaded then a week at Saku boutique homestay is for you! Hosts Saku and Denny - two enterprising, sprightly characters will attend to your needs, provide airport shuttles and even dinner and laundry (if needed). They are two entertaining guides who want you to have a great time. We took an excursion with them to Chang Rai - blue temple and the white temple and a tea plantation.
Saku and Denny are experienced hosts and worldly wise with a great sense of humour - ‘if you please’. 😉
Super clean and super friendly, the homestay is out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre but this means that you can relax, unwind and use fast wi-fi to plan.
The plunge pool is a must on a hot day, especially after a trip to the hosts’ organic lime farm or Chiang Mai’s wholesale flower market.

"Nice and comfortable, the bedroom was in great condition and balcony was really nice. Air con was also working, although we didn’t need it for our stay. We did notice a spot of old blood on the duvet but it seemed like a stain, and was otherwise definitely clean. They also provided a kettle and coffee for the morning, and assisted us with a late check in."

"I nicely put my skin care and cosmetics on the table and took a picture of it before left the room. But once I return to my room in the evening, some of my cosmetics didn't placed in the same position. Even my perfume which I put in the closed box, the box kept opened when I return to the room. Then we never asked for the cleaning service again on the next day."

--Love the mysterious coldwar-era rotary phones (sadly, no dial tone). They complement the building, which is like a trip back in time.
Cons:
--Bathroom doors have slats, and where a closable window could exist, a screen separates the bathroom from the hallway.
Conclusion: nothing to block sounds (e.g., hacking and vomiting at 7 in the morning) coming from the bathrooms of nearby rooms.
--Wi-Fi was down for most of a day, seemingly because the owners didn't pay their Internet bill."
