"The hotel is situated just a short walk down the road from an amazing night market for food, and another ten minutes walk and you can be at the seafront with a very long beach and beautiful sunset views. You're within 20 minutes or so walking to the gate for the old town, and Songkhla lake. The hotel is in a bustling area but is very clean and calm. A real highlight of the hotel is the staff. They are all very kind and always greet you warmly when you come back from exploring. The breakfast is mostly Asian style with a choice of freshly cooked eggs too. It starts at 6am which is great if you need to make an early start. It is good value for money at 150baht per person. When I was there, it was also a pork-free breakfast selection which is great. I thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel in a lovely and unique town. The best of Songkhla is within easy reach, and you will feel incredibly welcome. "

"Ao Thai resort was a step above the rest. When I think of paradise from now on it’ll be associated with ao Thai resort. Uwe and his family have an amazing resort that feels very cozy and homey while being as luxurious and you would want for a secluded beach getaway with the family! Don’t miss out on the food because they are cooking some of the best food I’ve had on our travels throughout Thailand and it’s all made fresh and to order. Absolutely stunning resort and will be racing to come back and spend more time! Take advantage of the amazing amenities offered, take the excursions with the knowledgeable tour guides or do the massage that will knock out every knot in your body! 10/10 love it here and will be back! "A Thai resort that blends traditional and modern styles, set in a quiet, isolated village. Friendly staff, a clean room (Zone 1), and enjoyable dining with live music made for a pleasant stay. The only downside was the bathroom odor, likely coming from the drain. "

"This is a hidden gem. Cabanas in a beautiful setting on a moat by the river entrance to the lake. Almost empty because tourism hasn’t come back here like the rest of the country. Amazing staff, good food, great prices and they’ll arrange a tour to Thale Noi too. A highlight of our trip."

"Location on Chalathat Beach was perfect. Near to beach front, playground, street food zone. Parking was easy. Staff service was impeccable, especially the bell boys. Friendly and warm staffs. Pool zone and water park not overly crowded. Ample sitting areas and love the pool access rooms. Bicycles for hotel guest use without additional charges was awesome, only wished bike conditions were better maintained and installed with bells. Some bikes had broken and non functioning brakes. Areas around the water park can be improved for safety as some bamboo structures were hazard for tripping, especially elderly or senior citizens. Amenities were well provided for. Overall a good stay if safety can be improved around the pool surroundings. Lifeguards were always available, that's a plus point! "
