"Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Beach view was beautiful! Very short walk to beach from premises. Does need some updating, and the showers are small. Despite these few things, we would definitely return. Loved the stay."

"I stayed at Portside Resort recently and was very disappointed. Booking was easy, and I got friendly reminder texts before arrival. But when I got there on Saturday, the office was closed—I later found out they don’t work weekends. I had to go to another address to pick up the keys, which was confusing since I hadn’t been given any clear instructions or a map of the resort. I paid ahead for parking and pool bracelets, but I never got the pool gate code. I had to rely on other guests to share it, which made the bracelets feel like a waste of money. The condo itself was spacious and had a kitchen and washer/dryer, which I appreciated, but it was not very clean. The beds and bathrooms were clean, but the floors were sandy, and the carpets clearly hadn’t been vacuumed properly. I had to sweep and mop by hand every night—and the water was black each time. The vacuum didn’t work, and we noticed our feet getting dirty from the floor. We also saw two cockroaches, and I have a photo of one. There was no working Wi-Fi, even though a username and password were provided in the room. Nothing showed up when I searched for the network, and the front desk had no info to help. That was especially frustrating since I had brought tablets for my kids. The location itself is great—quiet and not too crowded—but the lack of communication, poor cleanliness, and missing amenities made this stay feel overpriced and disappointing. "

"Good location and a rather new facility.It is a basic hotel that offers a pretty decent breakfast. I liked that the room's floor were tile and not carpet. The bathroom was clean and in good condition. There is a pool but I have no comment on it because I did not use it. The only complaint I have is that I had to request clean towels 2 days after I was there and that I had to request the room to be cleaned as well."

"We had a wonderful stay. I was impressed with the communication with the property manager. They delivered all of the information we needed with perfect timing. The beach was beautiful and easily accessible, staff were very accommodating and friendly. The parking underneath the building is limited but we were able to find a space ~80% of the time. When the basement lots were full, we parked in the garage across the street. Elevators were dated and very stuffy but we heard that they are being replaced with new ones soon. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the large balcony. Thanks for the great stay. "

"First time here and the area is unique and we really enjoyed it. Walking out of the hotel and being surrounded by shops and restaurants and no cars was a treat. Great dining options. Hotel staff generally were 100% on top of things. Always smiling and helpful. Only thing was that our complimentary keurig was not replaced twice. We called downstairs and they actually sent us a nice fresh pot of coffee. Other thing was that we booked a town view and were given a room with a view of the back of other homes. I mentioned it and they said that it qualified as town view. Ugh. Otherwise it was great. Concierge was always helpful. Thanks Wendy Rooms are spacious and plenty of drawers. Nice robes beach bag with towels for beach. Yoga mat in room. We plan to be back. "

"Pools need updated , cabinets are falling apart by the pool area . No towels are available. You have to pay for parking 35$ separately from your stay .. beach was fun . Splash bucket isnt made for littles the little area was super windy . "

"This review serves as a reminder to myself to never book a room through Summit again. First of all, I booked through Expedia and indicated that I had 4 adults and 2 kids. Nowhere in the reservation does it say only 5 people allowed per unit. Unit has a king size bed, bunk beds and a full pullout couch. Upon arrival, I was informed that only 5 wristbands are allowed per unit and to pay $100 extra for a wristband. I tried to argue but they would not budge. So beware if you have more than 5 people you will pay $100 per each extra wristband. Also, parking is $27 per vehicle per stay. This was mentioned in the original booking so I was ok with that. Beach was beautiful of course and was the main character of this trip. Our unit was outdated and had all kinds of water damage. The bathroom smelled of old urine. There is construction Nextdoor and they start bright and early at 7am. This was not our first stay at Summit but is our last. There are plenty other condos in much better conditions on the coast for about the same price. I’m disappointed in the lack of service on summit and Expedia part. They would not refund me $100 despite not mentioning it in the booking. Book at your own risk. "
