The property is very central to the shops and restaurants in downtown Boothbay Harbor. The staff person who checked us in at a different property that was in common ownership recommend some excellent dining options. Checkout is at 10 am, which is a bit early compared to other places we have stayed at but it was manageable. We would stay there again without hesitation."

The bed was very comfy and the view of the town and water was joyful. There's a lovely art gallery, used bookstore, and plenty of dining options nearby.
A very sweet couple manages the inn and they're excellent cooks - Captain Sawyer's breakfast was beyond delicious - one day it was just me and they served huevos rancheros and posette - incredible! ...The kitchen is down the hall from the rooms so if you wish there are opportunities for social time.
The only thing that I'd recommend as a future update - as with many stately old New England homes, the bathroom could use a refresh - including some new caulking."
