"From the moment we landed in Cambodia to the moment we stepped onto the soft white sands of their private beach, the team at The Secret Garden Koh Rong made everything seamless and special. They arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport, took us to the pier, and even had a ferry waiting to bring us directly to their dock. The hospitality we received was beyond anything we expected. Every member of the staff made us feel truly at home. Though the restaurant typically caters to Western tastes, Sambo and One went out of their way to prepare special Khmer dishes just for us—showcasing their own take on flavors we know and love. One of the most memorable moments was a private beachfront dinner they set up just for our group—thoughtful, romantic, and unforgettable. They also arranged scooters for us to explore the island, had paddle boards and kayaks available, and even took us on a guided trip to local villages so we could experience the heart of the island and its kind, welcoming people. The infinity pool was perfectly situated with ocean views and easy access from every room. Our stay at The Secret Garden was filled with moments of joy, connection, and beauty. It was more than just a vacation—it was an experience that touched our hearts. Leaving was the hardest part."

"Buildings are old with little upkeep. Trash being stored behind pool and volleyball area behind mesh wall. Breakfast food is the same every day and boring. Food is not warm. Air conditioner leaked water. Sheer curtain in room 188 torn and old. Company needs to reinvest money to maintain and upgrade rooms. Mattress’s are hard as a rock, uncomfortable and you can’t sleep well. Wake up stiff and sore. The only the hotel has going for it is location. Would not recommend to anyone. Would not stay here again. "

"This was a perfect island get away. The staff was exceptional. The owners were involved. More like a family affair with a wonderful community feel. Over the Holidays they organized games in the restaurant to include everyone (I was solo and never felt left out). I even had a medical issue and the owner and a local pulled me aside and gave me some excellent and very timely information that saved me from some real problems. I extended my stay even longer, which was lucky as they were booked out all the other days."

"The beach was very rough due to the storms and not one of the nicest beaches on Koh Rong. I wish the resort had a gym. The restaurant was great. The food was reasonably priced and very good. A very clean small pool on the property. The resort staff was very warm, gracious and helpful. Plenty of warm water (hot showers) and the premise was very clean. "

"This Hotel is absolutely garbage the pictures are fake, the breakfast is very poor and limited, the pool was green and dirty, the beach was filled with garbage. The patio and beach furniture were old and ripped, falling apart. My wife almost broke her ankle walking from the Tuk Tuk to the hotel which is not even safe for a donkey, no lights on the so-called pathway many loose rocks and pot holes, which makes it a safety concern for those walking from the road to the resort. There also was no hot water our entire stay, no TV in the room. I will be asking for a refund from Hotels.com when we return home unfortunately I could not uploaded any pictures to show but I have lots of pictures and videos "

"I've stayed here before. The location is PERFECT. The rooms are OK and it was nice to see they had added a coffee pot to the rooms. Stayed in #10. It could use a curtain on the bathroom window and curtains on the small windows to either side of the main door. Someone walking up to the porche could just look right in. It could also use a way to lock the door from the inside. The lower latches don't "latch". It has been that way since I stayed there before around a year ago. Lastly, I'd recommend a good thrashing for the monkeys that raided every day...hahah. Expecially the big one that stole my brownies before I could scare him off. Seriously though, they like this place (#10) so if you want to see monkeys up close and personal.. hahaha... it's your best bet!"
