"The room is very quiet and you can make it very dark. Perfect for sleep good. The air conditionig is also very good. The breakfast is only in the room with capsule coffee and cornetto packaged, this should be mentioned. Otherwise friendly contact and helpful."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our perfect stay at Domus Nova! The owner Giuseppe was a fantastic host making us feel welcome as if we were visiting relatives! He graciously carried our luggage up the small flight of stairs and upgraded us to a balcony suite making our stay even more pleasant with a beautiful view of the Strait of Messina/Sicily. Giuseppe was extremely knowledgeable, offered several recommendations to visit around the local area including several attractions in nearby cities and took the time to greet us and check in daily. Every morning the lovely Fryline served us espresso/cappuccino and offered a nice selection of pastries, meat and cheese and the friendly staff thoroughly cleaned our room every morning. The room was clean and spacious with a smart tv, AC, and all the amenities-our rainfall shower was very hot with good water pressure and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are centrally located in the heart of Reggio behind Corso Garibaldi just minutes from the Centrale train station. Steps from the resort is excellent shopping historical monuments and amazing restaurants. A couple of blocks from the resort is Lungomare, several lovely beaches and restaurants on the water. Out of all the hotels and B&B we stayed at throughout Italy and USA over the years, Domus Nova was more like staying with family (that you actually like!) we can’t wait to return here again!"

The Lungomare promenade is very easy to walk to and breakfast at the bar next door was exceptional. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean with nice towels and amenities. Very easy to access the building and room with a card. We would stay again in the future."

"For a budget hotel, it is quiet and convenient to the train station and the duomo. Reasonable comfortable bed but only one very flat pillow each. Shower is hot but water flow is weak. Satisfactory breakfast with self fry eggs. Would be nice if a toaster is available as the toastie maker don't make toast Staff were courteous and polite. "

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They were full of great recommendations for local restaurants, hidden gems, and activities in the area, which really helped us make the most of our time. One of the highlights was how accommodating they were—we were able to leave our bags after check-out so we could explore a bit more before departing, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere of the place was cozy and homey, making it feel more like staying with friends than in a typical hotel. The continental breakfast was perfect, with a generous spread that included fresh croissants, yogurt, pancakes, cereals, coffee, and plenty of other options to choose from. Nous sommes restés 5 nuits (2 adultes et 2 enfants) et nous avons tout apprécié : l'emplacement (à deux pas du port pour la Sicile, à deux pas du début de la lungomare, à 5 minutes des Bronzes de Riace), la qualité des chambres (literie impec) et aussi l'accueil du propriétaire ou du père du propriétaire : un homme charmant, avec qui nous avons discuté le matin au petit-déjeuner. Quel plaisir de pouvoir discuter ainsi. Je recommande dix mille fois !!!"

"Fantastic stay in a local traditional tesofential spot, all amenities accessible and with in walking distance. Host was incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. The small touches really make this property, the host provides a variety of cakes, juices and tea and coffee giving it a very homely feel and is always contactable and very responsive. "We stayed here for 4 nights/3 days as a mother-daughter trip. Hotel had good amenities, lovely pool area with lots of sun loungers and waking through the apartments you are the beautiful private beach (cost €6 a day to hire a lounger). Staff were great, so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Everyone said hello and particularly shout out the the two ladies on reception who went out their way to book us train tickets, arrange taxis to/from airport (including a refund after being overcharged - should be €35 each way). We had a standard twin room. Enough space for us and appreciates the fridge, tv and balcony. Air con was noisy so didn’t tend to use it, but was good for what we needed. Nice view of the town and could see the sea and the mountains. The room comes with some many complimentary toiletries, inc razor and cream, shampoo, shower gels and toothbrush/toothpaste, which was more than standard so was very impressed. Breakfast was a buffet. No hot food. Just breads, cereals, cakes, pastries etc Great location to explore the Reggio Calabria area without a car (train station is a 10 min walk) so we took a day trip to Scilla and Messina. Hotel and general area were very quiet, could be as we came to end of season so there is only really 1-2 places to eat. We ate in the restaurant one night, good food but the servers were preoccupied with a private function so they never asked if we wanted drinks or dessert. The cafe at the lido was good value and tasty panins. "
