"What pleasure to stay here! The owner is outgoing and bubbly. This is 1950s motor lodge that is good repair. Very family oriented (from a senior's perspective). We were in a backsie room, and felt like we we in a summer cottage. "

"Goodman's Motel was exactly as expected. We wanted a budget friendly place for two nights while we explored the area. The motel is conveniently located. Wendy's and Tim Horton's are just across the street. It's a short drive into Espanola where there are more places to eat and shop.
The room was large and the beds were comfortable. It was very clean. Negatives would be traffic noise, but we expected that. Also I prefer a key card to the standard keys this motel uses, but it seems like a...

"There is absolutely no reason the desk clerk should be taking pictures of guests ID’s. Checked in but didn’t stay. Room faced the highway and traffic was not quiet. Was unable to secure door at back side of room as it was locked from other side (no idea who/what door accessed). Overall, did not feel very secure with the check in. "

"Ajay the receptionist was wonderful. I had paid for two nights but unfortunately could only stay one night and did not have any trouble getting my refund back."
"Great spot! The room was dated but clean and comfy it had a nice neighbourhood vibe with the seating out front of every room. Its a very small town so everythng is walking distance "
"What a wonderful stay! The accommodation was absolutely excellent — just a short walk to town. The rooms were beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was beyond delicious — truly the perfect start to each day "
"Thanks again Pinewood! We upgraded our room no problem on arrival. My family and I were comfortable and grateful for such a clean and lovely room. Check-in was easy and the staff were so friendly. Great price for a last minute upgrade. We will stay here again when we come back up North. Highly recommend! "

"The place is an older motel, so it's not fancy or modern, but it is clean and well kept. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The grounds look a little run down, but it's early spring so there aren't many things growing yet. The cost was very affordable. If you're on your way from Sudbury to Sault Ste. Marie and need a halfway place to stay, this fits the bill."
