"Do not stay here! This hotel is used for all the tradesmen in the area: rooms stank of smoke and there were men standing around the car park watching us the entire time. The room was not clean and had smoke stains and holes on the bedding. Not worth the money you’d save, just go somewhere else."

"This is a lovely hotel. The inside is welcoming and staff very friendly. We only stayed one night and used it as a stop over. We walked into Albert for our evening meal. Breakfast is great, lots of it and fresh tea leaves! Great find for an evening stop over and lots of things to see in surrounding area "

Everything looks new, it is quiet, and facilities like the bar and gym were great. Superb service. Modern and we loved the location for a short stop over. We will definitely look to stay again. "We booked the suite room in this family run Château. We came away without the children for a weekend of peace & quiet but the family have children and a baby, the baby cried during the day and in the evening we heard a lot of banging on the floor above our room. It’s not pleasant if you want time away from kids. The room was tired and breaking, the bed was hard and the pillows were big square decorative pillows not sleeping pillows. it did not make for a comfortable sleep. The kettle was incredibly dirty and the bottle of water they state that every room comes with, was literally a flask filled with tap water. The outdoor pool was dirty with a lot of Algae at the bottom and we had to use a coffee cup to fish out all the dead bugs in the hot tub before we could use it as there was no pool net available. We paid €160 for a couples massage that we specifically requested was a deep tissue massage for just the head, neck, shoulder and upper back, but was given a non deep tissue full body massage. "

"On our way back to the UK we were looking for an overnight stay and booked this Best Western Plus, Le Picardy. This has to be one of the nicest Best Western Hotels. A wonderful and kind welcome from Luana, who also recommended a lovely restaurant a minute’s walk away called La Huit 8. We were upgraded to a very spacious bedroom & bathroom. I would definitely recommend "

"They offered me to park my motorcycle inside a secure enclosed yard for the night. This is a very cheap place to stay for a night of transit. I will go back."

"Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. My family and I felt very safe and welcome at this hotel. Very close to Beaumont Hamel Memorial site and the other Trail of the Caribou sites as well. Great breakfast. We stayed two nights and ate dinner at the Beluga (hotel restaurant) one evening. Food was delicious as were drinks. Reasonable prices. Great staff. "

"Check was confusing, we had to go to the retirement home reception. Room was great, beautiful bathroom. No nearby eateries, ordered in. Don’t bother booking the breakfast,he’d to keep asking for things like plates. "

"We arrived late in the evening and called our hosts they gave checkin instructions over the phone and all the info we needed for our stay. The apartment was lovely and beautifully furnished and stocked. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. I highly recommend staying here. The only concern one might have is there is no elevator, it was no problem for us but could be. The whole building was incredibly beautiful and so quaint. "

"The staff are very helpful and friendly. Most staff speak some English which is good when you are tired after a long journey and seem to have forgotten any french you knew. The beds was lovely and comfortable and the French external blinds cut out noise and light for a peaceful sleep. The room and ensuite bathroom are clean. The breakfast is continental with plenty to choose from and includes cereal, yoghurt and fruit. There were some eggs, bacon and sausages and a toaster. Coffee very good from the machine. There is also tea and hot chocolate available although no drink making facilities in the rooms. The restuarant serves a variety of starters, mains and desserts and there is a discount for two and three courses. There is no lift to rooms on the second and third floors but there are a few ground floor rooms. Staff will help you with your bags if required."
