"A really great stay. A very friendly welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great value. Although you had to pay for the car park it was very secure and off the street. It is brilliantly close to the centre of Metz which we thought was a great city. It is a great stopover if you are travelling to Italy or beyond."

"Fantastic size family room with separate, proper full-size single beds for the children and a big comfortable double for adults. The staff were very welcoming and pointed us in the direction of the nearest restaurants and shops after a very long day travelling. Super convenient location next to the main road network, yet only a 10 mins walk to a big supermarket and retail/restaurant complex "

"The hotel is quite something! Walked around the grounds and it was amazing.. To the spiral staircases, to the gardens to the violin playing over the speakers. Room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. The only neutral-negative comment would be the breakfast. It cost 15Euros which is fine. In fact it could easily be baked into the cost of the room and I wouldn't bat an eye since the stay itself it great value. The breakfast doesn't live up the magnificence of the rest of the hotel. "

"The Novotel in Metz was one of the more expensive hotels we have stayed in on our European tour. It is not as classy as we had expected and the decor in the room was dated especially the textured white walls. The plugs in both the sink and shower did not drain well and smelt. The bed was comfortable and pillows fluffy. There is an outside pool but it is very busy with children and not very big. The price of the hotel was not reflected in the stay. The underground parking is shared and smells like a public toilet, payable at the time of leaving."

"Good price-quality ratio. It looks recently renovated. The only con is the shower, as there's no way to avoid water from spilling all over the bathroom."

"This hotel is located in the heart if the city. The staff were awesome. Old city charm and newer upgrades. There is not an elevator so be prepared for stairs. We would stay again."

"No check in whatsoever. No one in reception. You will get a VERY CONFUSING email with a code for you to go into your room. This is a hostel with shared bathrooms and toilets, not a family hotel. Don’t make the same mistake we did if you’re coming here with a family."

"Great place to stop on route back to UK. Clean rooms. Nice small town to visit. Limited EV charging so check if you need it as I was told I couldn’t charge as in use, however a later guest was allowed to charge, however there is a fast charger close by."

"Great to be able to stay in a castle dated 17th century. Spacious room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Super and knowledgeable owner. General Patton stay in this castle during WW2. "

"un service client inexistant. J'ai fait une modification et j'ai du payer double ma modification en ayant prévenue plus d'1 semaine à l'avance. Malgré mes relances au service client de l'hotel par email, telephone et lors de mon séjour aucune réponse ne m'a été faite. Quelques jours après mon séjour je reçois un email automatique s'adressant à moi comme ci j'avais simplement annulé mon séjour. On est très loin du standard attendu. "
