"Great home made foods, homely environment. Lisa, the owner gave us the bridal next to porch room for us as we were their for our anniversary celebration. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, informative and responsive. Great stay for peaceful, quiet, far from noises. I enjoyed farm feel, cows, it took me back to my childhood memory when i used to visit my grandmother/grand father house. I will recommend everyone to stay at their place. Great for couples, old and young couples, kids....thanks...

"Room was as expected, resort has some age so not a lot of moderization. Bed had foam matteress which wasnt the most comfortable I've slept on. Also drain in tub/shower didnt work well and ended up in ankle deep water by end of taking shower."

"Hotel location is excellent, on top of hill surrounded by corns, grass and trees, even offered an outdoor swimming pool with resting chairs for breezy relaxation under the sun. Happy surprise to watch July 4th firework show from top of hill. No mosquitoes and rooms were claen. Only imperfection was very little free breakfast, only coffee , bananas and cookies. But anyway, hotel price was cheap enough to offset this imperfection."

"For the price this motel is exactly what we were looking for. It was cheap. The room was clean and the a/c was cold. Door locks worked. Area seemed safe and well lit. The breakfast was mostly bread however there were many good breakfast options nearby. I recommend Mr. J’s bagels. The staff were very friendly."

"Cons: Lamp had a blood stain on shade and the comforter had small holes and dirt marks.
Pros: The room was clean and had a nice smell. The shower had very nice water pressure."

"One of the best stays we’ve had as a family. Reasonable price, updated and clean rooms and lobby, pool was fantastic and breakfast was amazing. Our first time staying overnight with our dog and we could not have asked for a better experience. "

"Unfortunately, the pool was closed and we are unsure why because we want to take our 10-month-old daughter to the pool for the first time however the bed was rather hard but for a brand new property that’s been open for a little over a month. This property is fantastic. I do hope that they keep it up. Keep pest control going. Keep dust down. Hallways are very quiet pillows could be a little firmer where they could give you four pillows versus three in the king room, but I have nothing bad to...

"Really nice hotel with great views of mountains. Two bars on site with lots of areas to hang out. Close to James Madison university. Seems like the perfect hotel for visitors to the university with plenty of great space indoor and outdoor to hang out. "

"I had a great stay here! It's an old historic building near Luray Caverns and Shenandoah, and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub the night I arrived, and the room was very comfortable. "
"If you are looking for an affordable, no frills stay, this is your place. It isn't quite perfect because the new owners are revitalizing a motel that, a few years ago, would have been unthinkable to stay in. But these new
owners have worked extremely hard to provide an affordable service without sacrificing comfort. When we walked into our room that first day I actually blurted out "This smells so nice!" and one of the nearby staff members smiled and thanked me. I was working remotely, and had a nice space desk and chair. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot with appropriate pressure, and we had plenty of space to store/hang clothing if we chose. We did not use the pool, but I would have if time allowed. It looked clean and refreshing. There are even a few small covered pavilions for relaxing outdoors with some shade. There appeared to be a few contractors or other longterm guests, but it was always quiet and no drama. The owner was professional yet friendly, and the cleaning team was too. We will definitely stay here when we are in the area next time."
"The hotel was great very nice great location and they took off the main dish from my bill after I showed them the long hair I found in it, did spoil the rest of the meal. "
"The Village Inn is our go to hotel st least 3-4 times a year. We "snowbird" and this is the perfect stopping place. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. There is alot of greenspace with a small playground but provides a area for letting the kiddos play. "

"My visit was actually very short because I was helping my child move in to college, which made for a very long day. With that, I really appreciated the quick easy check-in and the bed was AMAZING, especially for my achy mom bod at the end of a day of moving. I thought the property and the room looked great, no complaints at all. "
"Clean and quiet. Nice stay overall. We appreciated the adjoining rooms. Would have liked to have more allergen friendly breakfast options to accommodate dietary restrictions. "
"This motel was amazing. This staff was so friendly and helpful. It was an unplanned stay due to my car breaking down but the staff took a lot of stress off of me just for being so friendly."
"We loved this place. It was rustic and what we really like in a forest setting. Would've liked a secluded cabin better, but this place had great views and worked just great. No complainfs!"
"I loved this hotel. The bed was sooooooo comfortable. The room was fairly spacious. The property was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was average. Too many carbs for those on low carb diets, but the coffee was fresh. We came to shop at the new Buc-ees and we will be returning to shop again. This hotel will definitely be our first choice when in the area. Highly recommended. "
"Only thing is people need to respect the reserved space for those that are disabled. We had two people park in that spot and they were not staying with us in the unit. Yes, there are other spaces but having that spot for husband does make a difference. "
"Staff was friendly at time of check in until check out. Room was renovated and very clean. The only issue was that my husband had to fix the flush because the chain came off maybe needs to be replaced coz it is rusty. Overall, I wish.we could’ve stayed longer. "
"The Expedia agent needed to call the hotel several times bc my reservation was not in their system and then when it was - the Assistant Manager Nichole who was wonderful
And very accommodating couldn’t click on the reservation to check us in.
