"We found our 1st Rm #39 to be extremely cold. We were mived to Rm #11 & with a heater we were much more comfortable. Staff were great!! Had a lovely time in Swakopmund....great town!!"

"I have paid for the hostel but didn't realize that they don't have reception or anyone working after 8pm. I rang the door bell and called multiple times when I arrived but nobody answered. I couldn't check in and had to book another place last minute. I asked if I could get a credit for the night but they still charged me and wouldn't refund me for the booking and said it was my fault because I didn't notify them that I'll arrive after 8pm. I find the hostel is profit minded and doesn't have the best interest of guests in mind. "

"What an amazing place and the mgt. was so kind and considerate. I went back twice on my return and was in a bind as I was driving late at night. The mgt. helped organize a room through security since they were not on site due to my timing. So helpful and when mingling with guests there was only a positive vibe (both times)."

"The hotel was spectacular. I was hesitant about the price, as we are generally low-key travelers that enjoy the basics in life. However, the food, service, and property conditions made everything easy, enjoyable, and convenient. The treat of the accommodation was worth every penny. We stayed four nights after trekking through Namibia. Parking availability is a big factor that we chose this property, which did not disappoint. The restaurants were excellent, the breakfast provided every possible food option, and hot water was available continuously (no staggering showers for the family). Catering to comforts of an international clientele was definitely well thought out. From our room, we could see the daily visits from dolphins in the lagoon, which was an unexpected treat! The water was freezing, but our daughter still enjoyed a wonderful day at the beach in winter! Overall, an upscale, safe, and convenient location for all of our travels in the area. "

"We stayed here for three nights and loved it. It’s great location, walkable to everything Swakopmund has to offer. Staff was fantastic and so helpful is booking activities for us as well giving recommendations. The soundproofing in the rooms is not good, we could hear other guest etc. besides that, it was a great stay. "

"We had a very good stay at The Residence At Villa Wiese. We booked a family room - it's an ensuite room with a double bed and an upstairs room with single beds for the kids.(They loved having their own space upstairs.) The rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy. Breakfast is included in the stay and is served buffet style, offering a variety of food. The guest house is conveniently situated in the centre of town. We parked our car and walked everywhere. Everything (shops, restaurants, cafes etc.) is reachable within 10 minutes on foot. The guest house also has a little deli type shop - where you can buy farm fresh produce and souvenirs made by local craftsmen. All in all, definitely good value for money. We will definitely stay there again. "

"Very nice guest house-like hotel close to important sites at Swakopmond. The facilities are old, and migh need renovations, but it is conveniently located and the price is reasonable. Overall, a nice place."

"Fantastic property, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great ! Beautiful surroundings and a unique experience being raised above the sand. From our room we could see the dunes,the estuary and the sea in one view along with the bird life. It offered us everything we wanted and was good value for money, would definitely stay again !"

"Property is in good condition in the centre of town and 5 minutes walk from the beach. Room had air-conditioning and DSTV. Staff are knowledgeable about the area and activities. Wifi very good. "
