"Very compact room with a super tiny bed table. No space to move around. Clothes hangers banging you in the head when going to the bed by the window. Super compact bathroom. Had a good sleep with open window. Good self serviced breakfast. Happy with our stay when thinking about what we paid. Lidl shop close by. "

"We booked this hotel last minute and arrived around 10 PM. The owner and his family were very friendly. The hotel is close to A6 Highway, which was convenient.
Although the hotel isn't large, we noticed the restaurant was bustling with guests enjoying their meals when we arrived. Unfortunately, we had already eaten, but we definitely wish we could have tried their Indian cuisine!
The room was simple yet elegant. While there was no air conditioning, the room was pleasantly cool, and we didn't...

"Great place to stay when travelling through France. Very clean, pleasant if basic room. Very nice breakfast"

"First room we were given had broken sink waste, when used, water poured all over the floor, reception told us to put the bin underneath (we thought he was joking and would send someone to repair it seeing as we were not offered an alternative room), after 2nd trip to reception we had to ask for a different room which we were given. The breakfast wasn't great, bread, croissants etc were not fresh - dry and hard but better than nothing. "

"Extraordinary historical coaching inn (even Napoleon stayed here!), elegantly restored, with a wonderful staff operating under the guidance of Mme Karine: a perfect place to stay, in a charming town.

"This is a perfectly fine hotel. Nothing spectacular and certainly not luxurious. But for the price there was no complaint. Rooms are small and a bit dated - but very clean. Lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a quick walk to the cathedral and the centre ville. "

"We had a wonderful stay here when we were visiting Guedelon Castle (it’s only half an hour away). A very welcoming host, and a beautiful building and location. Some lovely restaurants in the town just a short walk away. Would definitely stay again."

"The accommodations were pleasantly decorated with just enough of a modern touch. Very comfortable. Host was very accommodating and the breakfast was homemade and delicious. "

"This hotel worked for us in that it was roughly halfway on our journey to the south of France.
The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in. The hotel itself is quite tired and needs some modernisation.
Restaurant was not open the evening we were there but the Local town of Avallon had plenty of pleasant restaurants available.

"St Pere is in a beautiful area of France, with Vezelay close by and the Morvan National Park to the south.
The owners are very friendly, helpful and speak good English - which was most useful for us."

Travelers might want a tour of Thierry Richoux Winery, just one of the places to visit in the heart of Irancy. If you enjoy your tour, head to Colinot or Domaine Ferrari, both within a short walk.

"Overnight stop. Dinner in restaurant was good and reasonable choices for main.
Beds were a bit on the smaller side. Lack of pillows, only one small pillow per bed.
Rooms could do with a freshen up decorative wise."
"Above average but not excellent. Rooms fairly basic. Pool very cold but clean. Morning coffee charge was very high but extra towels provided was helpful. "
"If six stars were available , I would happily give that rating! This lovely mansion has been transformed into an elegant hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with great amenities. Breakfast is great and served either outdoors on the patio or in the lovely dining room. There is a cocky grey parrot who appears in the morning, however he would not deign to talk with me.
The best thing about the hotel is their manager and staff. Courteous, friendly and enthusiastic about making sure the hotel service is extra special!
We will stay here again!"
"Stayed here for the third time and had a lovely stay. Nice size room which was clean and comfortable. Bathroom modern. Dinner in the restaurant was beautiful. Highly recommend. "
