"Beautiful accommodation in a old Japanese style farm house. We had a room in the old warehouse, which was beautifully restored. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's just a perfect place if you're looking for a break from the hustle of the big cities."

Double bed was big enough for me and my 12 year old. 5 min walk from train station and we had a view of the Sakura River. I am sure it would be beautiful in Spring! Spring cleaning staff were having lunch in the same dining hall where we have breakfast which is a lovely to see that management treat their staff as well as their guests. "

I thought I would get reasonable price making a reservation through Expedia, but I didn't.They charged me ¥19,400 but according to my reservation it’s supposed to be ¥15,946.

The room was clean and the view from the balcony was stunning. Loved sitting outside listening to the waves. My room had a small refrigerator, tv, and morning tee/ coffee. "The onsens were really great. Awesome breakfast, worth the extra cost. Moderate twin family room has 2 beds , 1.5 twin size. Not small as a twin, but not big as a double bed. Manga room massage chairs and free use space room were all great touches . The Lawson and bus stop across the street were super handy. 10 minute walk to Mito Station . Perfect for a stay in Mito! Will return! "

"I'm surprised this was rated so highly on Expedia. The staff was excellent and tried their best with us not being able to speak Japanese. Cleaning staff were very good and replaced the sheets/towels every day on time. However, the hallways, elevator, and rooms were in unacceptable condition. Most of the carpets just need to be replaced in the hallways. The elevator just needs to be cleaned. The room's utilities work, but everything is yellowed from smoke and decay. There were burn holes in the curtains and the whole room smelled of smoke. I checked other hallways with some being worse and some better. "
