"Himare is a very busy location with several beach front options. This property is right in front of the beach. There are beach umbrellas available for the guests, however, you better get there early. It is very close to many restaurant and shopping opportunities. The roads are very narrow and congested. There is no parking at this location, but there are a few paid parking options a few hundred yards away. The breakfast was great with a nice variety of options. Everything is very clean and well kept. "

"Good location if you looking for a beach break, 3 min walk from the beach. - Rooms spacious, nicely done, comfortable beds. - High speed wifi, but we had power cuts pretty much every day, so wi fi is affected. -Nice, clean beach with bars and cafes. Some places ,need to pay 5euro for umbrella and chairs. - Food option is limited and pretty much same.Non alcohol drinks selection is good, theres tea bags , but unfortunately kettle is mainly cold. - Staff is very friendly and helpful. - Swimming pool is nicely done, 2 sections baby pool & deep end( able to dive). Always was able to find a chair even in tbe middle of the day. - Area is not developed yet, 5 min walk to big market, but expect walking on the stone road or sand as theres no asphalt. Unfortunately not much for kids in the evening in that area. "

"Stella was extremely helpful with communication before arrival regarding booking a taxi to Montenegro as well as other taxis to get around some sights - her English was flawless which extends to her humour as well. The other team members in the hotel and cafe bar where breakfast is taken equally as friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, good choices and large! Location was convenient for walking everywhere Would highly recommend this small boutique hotel "

"Excellent hotel right in the hub of the city. Staff were outstanding. Very helpful and obliging. We used the indoor pool after a hot bike ride - very refreshing - great spa staff member. Hotel stored our luggage for 3 days at no charge after check out. Very convenient whilst we travelled to Komani Lake for 3 nights. WiFi excellent. Good array of sport and English speaking news channels. Overall very happy with this hotel. "

"We had an amazing 3 night stay at Labiatan Hotel. It is a perfect place to chill with a top notch restaurant. The private beach is wonderful. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would return if in the area. However we suggest the hotel is booked through Bookings.com instead as they have all the correct location details and distances of local amenities as it is not in Zogaj as indicated by Hotels.com."

"We had a lovely 4 night stay here,traveling as a couple. Smooth check in experience. They ensured good communication prior to arrival, and arranged a taxi when we landed, although we had not mentioned it beforehand, at a reasonable cost. Well equipped rooms. Quiet and good sleep quality. Air conditioning was a bit sub par. The beach was clean and quiet, brilliant blue waters. Food on the beach is limited. Hotel food was good, though vegetarian options are limited. Location is a bit isolated, and you would need a car or taxi to explore anything other than the immediate locality. Breakfast was included and had a good spread. Pool is nice and clean and photogenic. Special mention to Ornella at reception, Vildma and Philip in the restaurant (apologies if I've misspelled your names!) who went the extra mile to take care of us, including a packed breakfast on the last day for our early checkout. Would definitely visit again!"

"My experience was horrible. I had my daughter 2yrs old and we couldnt sleep at all due to all insects inside the room. Any kind of insects from crickets, spider etc. and no one we could complain to because the people responsible were too old to take care. To consider i paid 100€ per night , even if it costs 1€ will never be back"

Our one comment for feedback would be that we would like to specifically order breakfast items, the hotel only brought out what they had planned for breakfast, our only choice was the eggs, and even then we didn’t realise an omelette would be included. "Lovely place , initially when I booked I didn’t realise how far it was from the city center. We ended up renting a car which actually made our trip more interesting . It took us about 35mins to get to Durres city center where all the activities were but we didn’t mind because we got to explore . The host was awesome , great communication via WhatsApp . It was spotless, with the cleaner and gardener coming 3 times in a week . The property is exactly like the pictures . There are small shops nearby where we got a few basics . Not to forget the cute cats they kept us company ! Loved it here "

"The front desk staff was amazing. She walked us outside to show us where to park and answered all our questions. We loved the restaurant for dinner. It is a bit noisy but it is on a busy street so it was expected. The shower had a few hairs in it that weren’t ours and the shower drain didn’t work well. However overall it was a great stay!"

"This place is simply FANTASTIC! The minute you walk in, Velo warmly welcomes you as if you were part of the family. His mom Tatiana’s cooking is simple, authentic and absolutely delicious. The rooms are basic yet spacious, comfortable and super clean. Make sure to ask for the house barrel aged Raki, as smooth and luscious as a drink can get. Situated at short drive (30ish minutes) from the airport, I highly recommend as I first stop once you land in Albania… or a last night before going back home! Make sure to stay more than one night however, and ask Velo and his cousin Marjan for the morning hike up the hills, through the thousand year old olive garden. From the property you can reach a fabulous beach frequented by locals (Tale, 20 min) or drive up to Rozafa Castle (1h). Some roads can be a bit bumpy tough: when you get in and out, make sure you drive through the villages, don’t use short cuts Waze would suggest. All in all, one of the best travel stays I have ever had! ❤️"

"We had a fantasy stay at Hotel Aleks! One of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. There was a real sense of family towards each other and towards us (as the guests). The presentation of the property, the rooms and the cleanliness was far beyond our expectations. Despite an initial issue with Expedia they accomodated us with kindness. They included a few extra touches such as coffee, water and figs from their own garden. In addition, they were prompt and supported us with organising a daily trip with pick up from the hotel and with general information about the local area. Huge thank you to each and every one of them. "
