"The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The swimming pool and hot tub were clean and warm. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was okay. The rooms could use an update.

"The hotel was run down. Needs updating! Pool and hot tub were dirty. Breakfast was ok. Kayaks need help, broken and missing paddles. The area outside needs cleaning. Patio doors were in need of desperate repair. Vathroom exhaust fan was screaming and noisy has been replaced since the 80s and it shows! Staff was friendly but basic communication was difficult for the most part. I would not stay again, i would go to the hilton next door and pay more for the updates and cleanliness. "
"We enjoyed our stay at the Harbor View very much. The rooms were great, and the setup for our family was perfect. The only thing I would change would be the breakfast. I would add more hot food items such as bacon or sausage and scrambled eggs. "
"The only complaint I have was the carpet in our room felt a little damp when we checked in, but I'm not sure if thats because they had cleaned the carpets or if it was the humidity in the air since our AC wasnt on yet. Seemed to be fine the next day. We did also get a wake up knock at around 10am for towels which I didn't enjoy since it was our day to sleep in. But otherwise it was a great stay. Super quick walk to the main street and the ferry. And the beach was steps away from our patio/balcony. We also enjoyed having two separate sleeping areas as I am a light sleeper and my husband snores."

"We had a great stay here. The rooms were clean and nice, though there was a strong perfume scent. The pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was great. The bonfires with s'mores supplies provided were awesome. The only thing is that the beach is not swimmable and there is no beach where you can walk to the water. There's huge boulders that separate the upper part and lower part of the beach, but the part by the water is mucky and muddy and not crossable. Otherwise, great stay. Would stay again. "

We did not use the pool, but our friends did and it was super cloudy, which looked gross, but could have been from an over abundance of chemicals? "The trip was originally booked under one name however that person was not able to go. That person was able to email the hotel and explain the situation, and the hotel was able to accommodate the person in place, with added proof. SImple easy no problem. We also had a snafu with our bank as they thought our card was stolen and declined the purchase of the reservation. The people at the front desk were patient and professional while we dealt with the bank snafu. The room was clean and spacious, great water pressure in the shower- I HATE going to a hotel that's fantastic and had dribbles for pressure. THe breakfast was decent, nothing fancy, kept simple. We were able to leave our vehicle in the parking lot after we checked out to take a ferry to the island, and then come back and get it later in the day. Don't let the name fool you- budget may be in the name, and give you the impression that this is a pay by the hour type of hotel, but this is anything but that. Big standards,great perks, at a great price. We will be back for sure.. this time with everyone on the list. "
