The pool was in maintenance and we could not use but it is understandable. The gym equipments are old and poor in options but I reckon not many guests are using it as it was always empty. In a overall the stay was beyond expectations. "

"This hotel was built with the concept of modern, stark style like a ship container look. Floors in the dining area were exposed concrete, unfinished look and the ceilings showed the ducts and piping painted black. When we checked in at 2 am, the receptionist was friendly and even came up with us to show how door code entry worked. The room was small, no complimentary water, coffee/tea service. There was only one chair for two persons. The king sized bed was comfortable and room service was excellent. WiFi was adequate but received text messages at the airport when unable to receive them at the hotel. One negative is that we could hear conversations from the adjacent rooms. For a modern hotel, this was surprising in that thicker walls or sound reducing materials were not used to block the noise. Location of the hotel was convenient for walking distance to restaurants and stores. The hotel was located in a safe neighborhood. "

"The hotel itself is nice and the staff responsive. The morning breakfast crew did a good job with the food. You can plan on not taking a shower around 6:30 A.M. due to an apparent lack of water. On the weekend, you will need some ear protection until around midnight when the local bands stop playing. You might check around to see how the competition is rated in the area before you book here."

Cons: - Some of the cleaning staff is rude and doesn't clean well. - The hotel allows policemen to join the breakfast buffet while carrying fire guns and large rifles. My son was very scared about it. If the hotel wants to give them food, why not allocate a special place to let then be served? - Water in the pool is very cold. - Air conditioner is very week and windows don't close properly. Would I stay there again given price and other options in João Pessoa? No."

"The one star is for the prime location of this hotel- you only need to cross the road to access the beach, which also has a path for walking and running. The hotel itself boasts of image recognition for guest access to the area leading to the rooms and to the car park. But for all the technology, it’s missing some basic comforts. Although it’s right by the beach, there is no place in the room to hang clothes to dry. In fact, there is barely any space to hang anything. There are some clothes hangers above a little sofa, so you either hang your clothes or use the sofa for sitting. Instead, there is a random large sink taking space in the room. The towels and bed linen look very old and most are stained. The room we stayed in had open sockets with exposed wires, so definitely not suitable for families with toddlers and crawling babies. The bed only had a sheet to cover, so sleeping with the air con on was very cold, but switching it off made the room very hot, so none of us had a good night sleep. Breakfast was the basic expected for a hotel in the northeast of Brazil but not great. I’ve had better in smaller and cheaper pousadas. The checkin was complicated, requiring them to keep a copy of an identification document for each guest, including the children. You have to pay for using the hotel car park. I could go on. Yes, the rooms are spacious and the beds are big, but this hotel is a far cry from the 4 star it claims to be. "
