"Perfectly located for the Marina and to walk to the local cafes and restuarants. The staff were so helpful, accommodating, especially providing a 24hr reception. Clean and comfy rooms. The electric shutters didnt work reliably in my room but couldn't fault anything else. Would stay again. "

"The ability to stay in a 13th century castle, beautifully maintained by the family that's had the property for nearly 200 years was exceptional. Breakfast was a delight, with home-made crepes, an assortment of bread and croissants, home-made jams, and plenty of coffee. The calm was serene!"

"A charming spot well located for the seaside town of St Vaast, and only 25 minutes from the Cherbourg ferry. A warm welcome from the hosts. Plentiful breakfast which can be taken outside. Spotlessly clean, very peaceful even though on a main road (hardly any traffic in the evening) Lovely gardens to sit in or even have a takeaway supper. Good value. Would definitely return."

"Comfortable room, unfortunately on loud road which cannot be helped. Spacious bathroom. Large bed. Receptionist did try and get us to pay again but eventually accepted we had paid. Did not have the breakfast so cannot comment. Conveniently near several restaurants and large supermarket. "

"Located in the center of Carentan across from the bahnhof, this hotel is easy to find. Parking is available in back or on the street. The room we stayed in #11, has no interior curtains. To have privacy, you close the outdoor shutters and lock them, the close the windows. No electric outlets in the bathroom or 2nd room where 2 single beds are located. Rooms are clean, bed was firm. "The property is beautifully landscaped, full of flowers. The themed rooms are clever: I stayed in the room called “Dog Tags”. The sport shower is awesome! You can add a breakfast, charmingly served in a metal footlocker. You get a thermos of hot coffee, hot milk, orange juice, cold milk, petits pots de yaourt, baguettes, croissants, butter and jam. The property is located next door to the Overlord Museum and walking distance to the American Cemetery. "

"We were on a day trip to Cherbourg so only stayed for one night but we can highly recommend the hotel for its location and the friendliness of its staff. Our family room had everything we needed, with three beds being provided as requested. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. The bathroom was large and clean. The location is perfect and we received some excellent recommendations of places to eat. Not related to the hotel but Cherbourg itself - we expected there to be more cafes/bars open in the evening for a coffee or ice cream but everywhere appeared to close at around 10pm or earlier. We would however definitely return for a short break to Cherbourg and Hotel d'Angleterre. "
