The 'cottage' itself had everything we needed for our stay. Some windows and door looked a bit tired and in need of some painting / upgrading."

From Paris to St Tropez and back to Bordeaux and stayed at 8 hotels (all 5Star) This was our favourite by far. The personal touches, the amazing staff and the Chateau itself are all impeccable. I had a room with a terrace that was perfect, the terrace is huge, bed very comfortable and the bathroom looked newly renovated.
The breakfast was fine but a little bit overpriced for a modest continental breakfast, pastries fantastic though.
My room did not have a fridge but my friend was in a newer room and it did have one.
Location is great, 2 mins to the sea.

So that’s are the downside…the upside is location - the beach is directly across the road in front of the hotel and is a fine sandy beach that shelves gently into the water and is safe for kids. The boat harbour and ferries are a five minute walk with lots of bars and restaurants and the fabulous town market is a ten minute walk and a must-see. There’s also a spectacular walking path that follows the cliff tops north all the way round to the Casino - about three kms so if you lose all your money you can walk back to the hotel. Highly recommended. "
