"Be aware they have rooms without AC, they gave us a fan only room. We were supposed to get a Junior suite and it was nothing like the picture. Not enough towels for the three guests, small beds, close to the reception so the noise early in the morning was not fun at all. Property is nice, cold water pool was been clean so we couldn’t use it for day and a half. Good food, decent drinks prices."

"We were looking for an “off-tourist” spot since we flew in from nyc and were driving up to La fortuna. This was an absolute gem. Plenty space for kids to run/play, hot springs, gorgeous river stream. We only had one morning, but would’ve easily stayed for a couple nights if we didn’t have our next stop scheduled! Totally recommend this place - be prepared as this is more like a high-end “glamping”. Plenty beds and sleeping accommodations. Very respectful and accommodating staff. "

"It was in middle of jungle, did night and bird watching around lodge and we saw many animals. Very happy we found this gem. Rooms are basic and breakfast wss great."

"This place is just beautiful. It’s like everything Costa Rica has to offer in one place. The staff and hotel manager are top notch. Highly recommend you bring your hiking shoes and enjoy the entire property. You will not be disappointed. This is a must see hotel. "

"The pool, beds and space on the property are excellent. The kitchen is small but functional although missing some common amenities (i.e. dish towels). You can tell and appreciate that the construction is new and in relatively solid shape. There were a few items where the quality of the craftmanship was less than ideal. For example, the kitchen sink did not drain water (without debris) properly and there was a bathroom fixture that was loose. One other minor issue, even though the area is up on a hill with a beautiful view, you can hear an ample amount of road noise from cars and trucks. Even with those minor issues, the place was one that I would highly recommend to future guests."

"We loved our stay at Bungalows Las Iguanas. The bungalows was really clean and well furnished with tv, wifi and plenty of towels. The pool and jaccuszzi were great. The owners were really nice and made sure everything was to our liking. They even showed us a sloth was was passing by for a couple of days. The breakfast was great and made fresh to order. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to this area"

"The property and surroundings were beautiful. The room was very nice and fit our family of four perfectly. We loved hearing the nature noise maker surrounding us and the nature hike was really fun too. I would recommend a 4x4 to get to the property, it is a good ways up a bumpy road."

"This was an inexpensive option for our family to stay in Sarapiqui. The property is interesting because of the covered pathways and proximity to two miles of rainforest trails, and we spied frogs, howler monkeys, iguana, caterpillars, etc. Breakfast was wonderful. There is no air conditioning or hot water, which was fine for us. Wet clothes will take a looooong time to hang dry. We are a family of 6, and I thought from photos that we would likely have a room with bunk beds. Instead we were given two rooms, and that worked for us."

"Wow, it’s a great gem. Asked for the upgrade and got it. Room was immaculate. Pool was clean and they are renovating the hot tub/spa area. That will be amazing and like new in a couple of weeks. Food was outstanding also."

"This is the best resort I have ever stayed at. The people who work here are incredibly nice. The amenities are incredible and the natural beauty of the place is unmatched. The place is surrounded by jungle, but somehow the resort’s cleanliness is top tier. The rooms have such an amazing feel, and the private hot tubs are incredible. "

"This is a charming resort. Please don’t expect five star luxury but the facilities are very nice and the team extremely friendly. They cater for larger groups but that was not a problem. The area has some wonderful walks and wildlife - although unfortunately we did not see any sloths. "

"Very nice property with stunning flora and fauna. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The included breakfast - fresh fruits, eggs, housemade toast and jam, rice and beans as well as a fresh coconut - was delicious, especially the coffee. I only stayed one night and had to leave early in the morning, wish I had more time here but plan to be back next time. "

"The apartment was extremely clean, spacious, and finely decorated. One can definitely have a good night rest considering the quietness of the area and the comfortable beds. The bathroom is ample with clean crisp towels and they indicated that tap water was potable (apt for drinking). Jorge was very attentive and provided very clear instructions before our arrival. It is important to mention that this place is located on the side of a road and there are no places to visit at a walking distance. You definitely need a car to get here and move around the area. The only recommendation is to add more lighthing/illumination around the property because if you arrive at night, it is extremely dark and feels unsafe because of that, although it is not."
