"The grounds are beautiful, lush, and peaceful. The resort feels secluded without feeling isolated. Everything is clean, modern, and well-designed. The staff? Incredible. Everyone we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they care about the guest experience. The food was one of the biggest surprises of all. Every single meal was incredible. Breakfast each morning felt like a treat with options like saltfish, corned beef and Johnny cakes, Trinidadian doubles, and traditional American breakfast too. The lunch and dinner menus also delivered. The rooms were clean, stylish, and very comfortable. But the real standout for me was the spa. It was absolutely stunning. The treatment rooms are set up like individual private bungalows, almost like little spa villas. You actually walk outside to get to your room, which adds to the tropical luxury feel. Inside, the rooms are spacious and serene with high-end touches. Another great feature was being able to charge taxis to the room, which made things so easy when I didn’t have enough cash on hand. One review I read claimed this resort was a “far second” to Secret Bay. I have to strongly disagree. I visited Secret Bay during my trip and while it’s beautiful, the InterContinental’s pool is way better, the grounds are easier to get around, and the level of service is just as high. This resort is a gem. I would 100% come back and I recommend it to everyone. If you’re on the fence, go. You won’t regret it."

"Rustic cabins for simple living near all great attractions and hiking. 10 minutes from the Roseau, waterfalls, hot springs,... Great for a taste of rural outdoors living (with a strong wifi connection 😀)"

"This was my 2nd time staying at Pinard Mountain Resort and it was wonderful. The beautiful views and calm tranquil surroundings made my stay amazing. The staff are warm and welcoming. I was very happy to see Ms. Remy again. She is a beautiful & intellegent young woman and a great asset to the resort. I was very sad to leave but am hopeful to come back and stay again next year. "Excellent stay: rooms are clean and comfortable. A/C worked great, shower was awesome and surrounding views are beautiful. Great restaurants in town as well as small grocery store and ATM. Property manager was polite, courteous and helpful (he met us at the property). He had the hottub waiting for us nice and hot!"

"Berkey himself is a gracious, helpful, and thoughtful host. His communications are excellent and once there, he will be there for you. He attends to details and has pride in this hideaway. It requires a walk up ~40 steep steps but once on top, your are in a beautiful valley with wildlife and jungle sounds. Accommodations are basic but sufficient, if you are looking for an experience more like Dominica than a luxury hotel, Berkey's place is fine. Access to the property is straightforward and the location is ideal for short or all-day trips to the many local attractions. "

"The setting is lovely, secluded, and with a pool and beautiful deck, bar area, perched in the tropical hills. It is a stunning setting. The driveway to the Resort is steep and challenging, especially the first time. Once you've made it to the top, it's worth it. We would stay there again. "

"We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem."

"There was a mix-up about the room description, but the staff made it right. The restaurant bar staff were fun and attentive. Air-conditioning was truly a blessing! Balcony was a perfect view of the ocean and we got a bird's eye view of ocean wildlife coming ashore in the morning at breakfast. Room was clean and adapters were provided for electronic device usage and charging. I would definitely visit here again."

"This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way. The rooms are pretty basic and a little tired but have everything you need. It's convenient for the airport and river but there is no hiking near to the property. "

"The address was not correct, it leads us to the hospital, I had to ask for directions. When the men arrived at the bottom of the stairs, they were sitting and never responded to the "hello", maybe because of my complexion, whatever, I didn't try to say hello again after that. The maids was nice and polite. "

"We stayed at the Banyan cottage and it was lovely. Up on a hill, very private. It had screens so no need to worry about bugs. The cooking area was nicely done so that you could cook breakfast easily. The property is gorgeous and you really feel like you're in the middle of the rainforest by yourself. Very relaxing. We ate in the restaurant on site (you need to let them know you're coming) and the meals were fantastic. The owner is great and wants to be sure everything is acceptable. A great stay, would definitely stay again."

"An excellent outpost for us to drive the island on 6 individual day trips. Perfect room with a great sleeping mattress and all accoutrements needed plus a tea table on a covered porch. The Caribbean view was an awesome experience morning and evening. The restaurant was our stalwart for nourishment each morning and all but one evening. Chef Calvin and all involved were attentive and offered great food choices; always at least one protein, vegetables and dessert for dinner with breakfast of fruit, cereal, bread, local jellies, multiple meats, eggs and coffee/tea. Beer and drink options were satisfying after exploring and driving Dominica unique geography and roads!"

He took time to make sure I was comfortable, and kindly shared his knowledge of the plants in his garden with me Fridge, hot shower, comfy bed, nearby shops, atm, restaurants Some mozzies but there are nets so I slept great I went to Batibou beach nearby, about a 1hr walk, or 10 min drive. My jaw was on the floor 😍 I enjoyed my stay. Thank you"

"I booked this trip for my clode friend. She was extremely disapoibted because the A/C didnt work and she spoke with the front desk more than once on the issue. Additionally during her stay housekeeping never changed the linens..she did not enjoy her stay at all. It was very uncomfortable "

"1. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere - no entertainment in or nearby - everyone sleeps early here, including the owners 2. Rooms are rustic hippie designed which is nice if you are looking for attitude 3. The air conditioner in the room hidden away behind the cupboard and starts by leaking water for first five minutes 4. Hot water shower is slow and not working st all on second day. 5. Nice jacuzzi also not working no water from tap 6. Breakfast was only stale bread and coffee and juice - omelette has to be ordered and paid for separately 7. Great hotel you are French you get asked if you want cut fruit for breakfast while I sat there wondering why I wasn’t asked. This resort is great hideaway for French speaking courting couples who just want stay away from everyone else. "

"The hotel has seen better days and needs remodelling and updating. Lighting in passageway and rooms either non existent or very dim. Restaurant offering very limited as with the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food albeit limited was very flavourful. The gardens were beautiful and well kept with a variety of plants & flowers. The shower was huge with great water pressure. The location was close to where we needed to be otherwise would probably not have been my choice "

"The Anchorage was just what we needed -- location on the main street with parking for our rental car; clean room with AC, mini frig, electric teakettle/coffee & tea supplies; bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, and open closet/shelves; storm window with a view of the ocean; friendly staff; and a full restaurant right next door! The restaurant is located at Ocean's Edge and served us breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, take-away, and even has a bar. There is also a Dive Shop at Ocean's Edge for renting snorkel gear, scuba excursions, and whale watching tours. Anchorage has a meeting room for rent available and an outdoor bar/dance area for rent. (We enjoyed listening to live music one night during our stay.) Note: Anchorage has 12 hotel rooms, with 3 on the ground floor, and the others accessible via stairs. They also have a 3-bedroom apartment with kitchen for rent. Other 10-room block at Anchorage was damaged several years ago in Hurricane Maria. Hopefully this will be renovated in future. When we were at Anchorage their pool had suffered a bit of damage from Hurricane Beryl, so was empty of water and getting painted. Also, the "beach" at Anchorage is very rocky, so wear water shoes and look for waves/current/large rocks before entering.
